Configure Catalog Objects

Overview

Before you create a notification, you must configure catalog objects to categorize the notification's specific positions (subject, anomaly, and cause).

Prepare required components

Before you create a notification, ensure that the following components already exist. If they don't, you need to create and define them in the following order.

  1. Catalog type: See Create a Catalog Type.

  2. Catalog group: See Create a Catalog Group.

  3. Catalog code: See Create a Catalog Code.

  4. Catalog profile: See Create a Catalog Profile.

After the components are available, you can create notifications. See Create a Notification.
