How to Filter Procurement Requests on the Mobile App
Introduction and Overview
Field technicians often manage numerous material requests simultaneously. To improve operational efficiency, the FSM mobile app allows users to filter procurement requests by their current status. This ensures technicians can focus on immediate tasks—such as picking up materials for "Sent" requests—or view the entire lifecycle of their materials by selecting "All".
By understanding how to use these filters, you can reduce visual clutter and monitor the progress of material reservations and returns more effectively.
Filter Procurement Requests
Follow these steps to locate and apply status filters within the mobile procurement monitor.
Prerequisites
-
Ensure you are logged into the FSM mobile application.
-
The administrator must have configured the default view via the company parameter
company.fsm.mobile.procurementRequestDefaultStatusFilterif a specific starting status is required by your organization. Admitted and default values are described in the online Helper of the “Company” settings funtionality.
Procedure
-
Navigate to the Van Stock menu and select Procurement Request.
-
Upon opening the monitor, activate the “Funnel” icon on the top righi on your mobile device and observe the Status dropdown filter located at the top of the screen.
-
By default, this filter is preselected based on your company's configuration.
-
If the default status set by your organization has no current requests on your device, the app automatically switches the view to All.
-
-
Tap the Status dropdown to view available options.
-
The list only displays statuses currently present in your local procurement requests (e.g., "Successfully Sent", "Draft", "Confirmed") to keep the menu concise.
-
Select All to view every request regardless of its current state.
-
-
Select the desired status from the list.
-
Review the updated list; the procurement monitor refreshes immediately to display only the requests matching your selection.
Task Recap
By applying these filters, you have successfully narrowed your view to the most relevant material requests. This enables a task-focused workflow where you can quickly identify materials ready for pickup or identify requests requiring further action.
Context and Technical Specifications
The filtering behavior is governed by specific logic to ensure the mobile app remains synchronized with your actual workload:
-
Menu Location: Van Stock > Procurement Request.
-
Automatic Refresh: Changing a filter triggers an immediate UI update, typically in under two seconds.
-
Fallback Logic: If the configuration parameter is missing, invalid, or set to a status with no active records, the system defaults to the All view.
