Understand work order monitor

Get a real-time, interactive geographic overview of your operational health. Visualize the status, location, and priority of field activities directly on a map. With clear spatial information, dispatchers can see how close resources are, optimize travel routes for nearby facility clusters, and group nearby tasks. Users can also prioritize high-risk emergencies based on clear visual cues and trigger new service requests directly from the map interface.

The system securely integrates with industry-standard map providers and renders advanced geospatial data formats like WMS, WFS, or XYZ. Administrators can configure cartographic settings to define the underlying base map, and then overlay custom GIS layers (such as plant layouts, cable routes, or custom-drawn geometry zones). The interface also adapts as you manage fixed assets or a distributed workforce.

Understand plants versus WFM

Plants are fixed, complex infrastructures like railway stations or factories. On the other hand, WFM is a distributed workforce across large regional territories.

See examples of plant and WFM templates

Here is how a dispatcher might interact with the different templates:

  • Plant: A dispatcher views the internal layout of a manufacturing plant. Then they click on a specific machine icon that has turned red (indicating a high-priority fault). That directly generates a new maintenance work order (WO) from that exact location.

  • WFM: A regional dispatcher monitors active WOs moving across a territory. To automatically flag or group technical objects within a high-risk area, they draw a restricted zone on the map with custom geometric tools.
