This section details the operational mechanics of Slot Management within the Capacity Grid. Time slots are the foundational pillars of the Booking module, acting as the precise time intervals that define how and when field resource capacity is distributed throughout the day. Through the Edit Day and Duplicate Validity Period management panels, Operations Planners gain direct administrative control over the booking timetable, enabling them to dynamically shape, inject, or restrict capacity to match changing operational realities.

To make a new slot:
-
Select your desired day and zone.
-
Click the Edit day panel.

The system automatically validates that newly created slots do not overlap with existing slots for the same day and zone.

To modify or delete slots:

-
Slot deletion: Deletes the slot only if fixed appointments equal zero.
-
If fixed appointments are greater than zero, deletion is blocked and an error message appears.
-
-
Duplicate a calendar's validity period
To duplicate the slot capacity configuration onto a new period:
-
In the Capacity grid, right-click the cell for the period you want to duplicate.
-
Select Duplicate validity period for operation center.
-
Enter the start and end dates for the new period (both mandatory).
-
Choose whether to account for the holidays defined for the Operation Center.
-
Click Duplicate.
If the model uses Zones, the duplication applies to that zone only; otherwise, it covers the whole Operation Center. To keep the calendar consistent, duplicating a period automatically moves any appointments already present in the target period so they align with the newly duplicated calendar.
