Use identification rules and background system jobs to define how future work orders (WOs) are automatically scheduled directly in the Real Daily Plan. To reduce manual configuration time and prevent scheduling errors, ensure that only intended work orders and parameters are activated.
Prerequisites
You must have the Direct Scheduling Edit permission to configure identification rules.
Activate direct future scheduling
To enable or disable the forward scheduling module globally:
-
Navigate to FSM > Core > Technical Settings > Company.
-
Locate the parameter
company.fsm.forwardscheduling. -
Set the value based on your requirements:
-
true: Activates the forward scheduling module.
-
false: Deactivates the forward scheduling module.
Note: This is the default setting.
-
Create the WO filter context
Before creating a rule, define the filter clauses it will use:
-
Navigate to Configuration > Scheduling Optimization.
-
From More Actions, open the dedicated WO Filter for Direct Future Scheduling.
-
Configure your clauses using the standard filter form template.
Note: The editor is restricted to show only the clauses belonging to this context. Once created, a context is locked to this use.
Configure identification rules
To identify which work orders fall under direct future scheduling, configure a dedicated Direct Future Scheduling Identification Rule:
-
Navigate to Configuration > Scheduling Optimization.
-
To filter and search for existing rules, use the optional Operation Center filter or the Status (Active / Inactive) filter.
-
To create a new rule, enter these values in the prompt:
-
Operation Center: Select the operation center (mandatory, single selection).
-
WO Filter: Select the filter context created above (mandatory). Only filters belonging to the direct future scheduling context are shown.
-
Description: Enter a description (mandatory).
-
Sorting: Enter a value to define the rule's evaluation priority. Rules are evaluated in this order, and the first match wins.
-
Active: Toggle to enable or disable the rule.
-
Configure jobs with periodic schedules
To ensure direct future scheduling works, you must define the background tasks and activate the periodic jobs.
Define tasks
To assign tasks to the correct processing queue:
-
Navigate to FSM > Core > Technical Settings > Company.
-
To configure the Direct Future Scheduling Scheduler (which checks calendar entries and identifies processes based on time intervals), enter these parameters:
-
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingScheduler.mode=EVERY_TIME -
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingScheduler.queueName=parking -
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingScheduler.task=+/forwardscheduling/bl/forwardscheduling/task/BTDirectFutureSchedulingScheduler -
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingScheduler.description=Schedule Direct Future Scheduling Processes based on Calendar -
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingScheduler.user=[system]
-
-
To configure the Launch Direct Future Scheduling task (which launches the scheduling processes), enter these parameters:
-
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingLaunch.mode=EVERY_TIME -
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingLaunch.queueName=parking -
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingLaunch.task=+/forwardscheduling/bl/forwardscheduling/processing/task/BTDirectFutureSchedulingLaunch -
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingLaunch.description=Direct Future Scheduling Launch -
company.job.SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingLaunch.user=[system]
-
Activate the jobs
To activate the configured jobs in the system:
-
In the main
company.jobparameter list, add both:-
SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingScheduler -
SCHEDULING-DirectFutureSchedulingLaunch
-
-
Click Save.
