The Lock and unlock dynamic forms feature provides administrators and technicians with greater control over data integrity. By locking dynamic forms associated with open or active Work Orders (WOs), the system ensures that finalized data remains unchanged. After a form is locked, it can only be modified if an authorized unlock request is approved.
Availability
This feature applies only to dynamic form templates with the following scopes:

Associated to WO operation
-
Associated to WO operation or Scheduling Resource
Templates with the Scheduling Resource scope don’t support this feature.
Lock a Sheet
To lock a sheet, tap Save and Confirm. This option becomes available when:

The Enable Sheet Lock flag is active in the template.

The form is currently open and not yet locked.
-
The WO is not in a read-only state.
To prevent further modifications:

Complete all required fields in the form

Tap Save and Continue.
The system validates the data and locks the sheet, and the sheet becomes read-only.
Note: If validation fails, an error message appears.
Unlock a sheet
If a locked or submitted form requires updates, but the associated WO is still open, an administrator can unlock the sheet. No one can edit a sheet if it’s closed or locked, or if the WO is closed.
To unlock a sheet:

Tap Request Sheet Unlock.

Wait until an administrator approves the request.

When you receive a push notification, sync to the mobile app to access the unlocked form.
Note: Technicians can perform these actions offline. The system syncs the updates after the device reconnects.
Unlock permissions
Only administrators with specific permissions can approve unlock requests. To grant these permissions:

Navigate to FSM > Configuration > Core > User > User Types.

Select the user profile that requires permission.

Click the three dots menu > Permissions > WO: Lock/Unlock.
