After you activate the Crew Shells module, you can begin to create and manage your crew shell templates. The Crew Shell Monitor is where you perform these actions, allowing you to create new crews and modify existing ones. This guide will walk you through the process step by step, from creating a new crew to editing its properties.
Prerequisites
Before you create or edit a crew shell, make sure you have the right permissions:

Additionally, understand the core characteristics of a crew shell, such as its Operation Center and minimum crew size, as you cannot change these after you create the crew. If you need to deactivate a crew, make sure it has no tasks assigned for today or any future dates.
Create a New Crew Shell
To create a new crew shell, follow these steps:

Open the Crew Shell Monitor interface (Main Menu > Features > Core > Resource Management > Crew Shells).

From the Crew Shell List table, click New. (located on the right side of the table). The Crew Shell Creation form will appear.

Fill in the following mandatory information:

Operation Center: Select the operation center where the Crew Shell will operate. This is a mandatory field and cannot be changed after creation.

Code: Enter a unique identification code for the Crew Shell. This code must be unique for each operation center.

Description: Provide a clear and concise description of the Crew Shell.

Crew Size: Enter the minimum number of resources (technicians) required for this Crew Shell.

Movement Type: Select the method used to calculate Crew Shell movements. The available options may vary depending on the selected Operation Center.

Active: Check this box to indicate if the Crew Shell is currently active. An active Crew Shell is available for scheduling and will appear in relevant Schedule/Calendar views.

Color: Select a color to assign to the Crew Shell. This color helps identify the Crew Shell in the Crew Shell Monitor, Daily Plan, Multi-day Plan, and Map.

Click "Save" to create the new Crew Shell.
The system will automatically generate a unique ID for your new crew. You can set the departure and arrival addresses later using a separate feature.
View and Edit Existing Crew Shells
To view or edit a crew shell from the Crew Shell Monitor, follow these steps:

From the Crew Shell List table in the Crew Shell Monitor, locate the Crew Shell you wish to view.

Click the three dots row menu (contextual menu) located on the left side of that Crew Shell's row.

Select View Detail. This opens the Crew Shell's details form in a view-only mode.

Review the displayed information, which includes all the properties defined during creation and other related data. The ID and Operation Center are permanently displayed in read-only mode, as they cannot be changed after the Crew Shell's initial creation.

Change any of the following information:

Code: Modify the identification code of the Crew Shell. Remember, this code must remain unique for each operation center.

Description: Update the descriptive name of the Crew Shell.

Crew Size: Adjust the minimum number of resources needed on the Crew Shell.

Movement Type: Change the method used to calculate Crew Shell movements.

Active: Toggle this checkbox to change the Crew Shell's active status

Click Save to apply your changes.

Important: You can only deactivate a Crew Shell if it doesn’t have orders assigned to execute today or in the future. If tasks are assigned, deactivation is blocked, and a warning displays. You must first remove all assigned activities.
