Overview
Assigning skills to your Crew Shells is a key step in making sure the right team gets the right job. A crew's skills tell the system what kind of work it can do. This guide will show you how to add and remove skills from a crew shell so you can properly match your teams to the tasks they need to perform.
Prerequisites

Make sure that you’ve configured your Crew Shells.

Confirm that the skills are already defined in your company's controller data within the NextGen FSM.
Access Crew Shell Skill Management
To access Crew Shell skill management, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Crew Shells interface (Main Menu > Features > Core > Resource Management > Crew Shells).

From the Crew Shell List, select the specific Crew Shell for which you want to manage skills.

Click the three dots menu (contextual menu) associated with the selected Crew Shell.

Select Manage Skills. This action opens a window with two sections: Available Skills on the left and Assigned Skills on the right.
Assign Skills to a Crew Shell
To assign one or more skills to a Crew Shell, follow these steps:

In the Available Skills table, locate the skills you wish to assign.

Select the desired skills.

Drag and drop to move the selected skills from the Available Skills table to the Assigned Skills table.

After moving the skills, click Confirm.
Remove Skills from a Crew Shell
To remove one or more skills from a Crew Shell, follow these steps:

In the Assigned Skills table, locate the skills you wish to remove.

Select the desired skills.

Drag and drop to move the selected skills from the Assigned Skills table back to the Available Skills table.

After moving the skills, click Confirm.
Understand Skill Status
The Active flag displays beside the description of each skill to indicate its current state:

Active: The skill is currently active, and you can assign it.

Not Active: The skill is not currently active and you can’t assign it or consider it in planning.
