Create a simulation

Create a simulation to see what will happen in a given scenario.

Prerequisite

Before you create a simulation:

• See Configure modules.

• Configure the Scenario Planning module with the xtype module_scenario_planning_infrastructure.

Understand the simulation lifecycle

From creation to closure, a simulation’s lifecycle states are:

• Started: The simulation is created and editable but has no linked hypotheses.

• Active: The normal working state; it has a hypothesis and users work on it.

• Closed: A winner is announced, and the simulation is read-only.

Create a simulation

To create a scenario to analyze:

1. At the top, click the Modules icon.

2. In the Module management window, select a simulation module.

3. Click the New simulation button.

4. In the panel, enter:

   • Name.

   • Description.

   • Area of interest.

5. Tap Confirm.

   • The new simulation will be created in “Started” status.
