Access work order data and components

Audience: Administrators, Dispatchers, Field operators

Understand how to view, filter, and inspect work order (WO) metadata, scheduling details, operations, and associated technical objects in the Field Execution module.

Prerequisites

Before you start:

Access work order metadata

  1. Launch your assigned field execution workspace and open the Field Execution module.

  2. In the primary list view panel, review the work order rows:

Column name

Field type

Description / Example

Work order / asset

Alphanumeric string

Unique work order identifier (for example, OCENE02362).

Operation center

Text label

Managing organizational or command unit (for example, North East Energy OC).

Start date

Timestamp

Scheduled start date and time.

End date

Timestamp

Scheduled completion date and time.

Status

Progress state

Current operational status (for example, Open).

  1. Optional: At the bottom of the table, select a value from the pagination drop-down list to adjust list density, or click Next page and Previous page to navigate pages.

Filter work orders

  1. In the list view panel header, click Expand (funnel icon) to open the filter menu.

  2. Enter or select search criteria in the available fields:

Filter field

Input type

Description

Work order code

Text entry

Searches for a specific, unique work order identifier.

Work order status

Drop-down menu

Restricts results to specific execution phases.

Operation center

Drop-down menu

Filters results by managing command units.

Work order start date

Calendar picker

Sets the start boundary of the execution window.

Work order end date

Calendar picker

Sets the end boundary of the execution window.

  1. Click Search.

  2. Optional: Click Reset to clear active filters and restore default list parameters.

Notes:

  • The module may already open with some filters applied. An administrator can configure initial filters—a creation date range and a set of work order statuses—that are applied automatically when the module starts. These are only a starting state: change or clear them here as you would any other filter (see Configure the Field Execution module).

  • In multi-select filters, when your selection does not fit in the field, the first values are displayed followed by a +N counter reporting how many more are selected. The counter updates as you add or remove values, so you can check selection size without opening the drop-down list.

Review work order details

  1. Open work order details by doing one of the following:

    • In the work order list view, click the target record name string (for example, OCENE02362).

    • On the map, click a work order feature marker.

  2. Navigate between detail tabs to inspect record parameters:

Tab

  • Enter system date

  • Release date

  • Source system

  • External code

  • Operation center

Inspect work order operations

Work orders are composed of individual execution components called operations.

  1. In the primary list view panel, select a work order.

  2. Click WO operations.

  3. Review the operation summary table (showing codes, activity types, status markers, and duration values).

  4. Next to a specific operation code, click Expand to open the row detail.

  5. Select an operation sub-tab to view specific component metadata:

Sub-tab

Displays activity type, execution status, and task rules (for example, Activation with installation, status: Schedulable).

Scheduling

Start date, End date, Estimated duration, Current duration

Displays specific time slots allocated to the operation component.

Technical object

Asset reference, Component parameters, Layer bindings

Links the operation component to its specific equipment or device node.
