Configure work order validation rules

Audience: Dispatchers, administrators, managers

To determine how the system handles debriefs and outcomes, set up validation rules and warnings.

Prerequisite

Before you start, to understand how debriefs and outcomes work, see Monitor work order debriefs and outcomes.

Follow the UI path

All following instructions start from this system path:

Configuration > Core > Work Order Management > Accounting > Validation Rules 

Create validation rules

To configure the system’s validation rules:

1. In the left panel, click Validation Status Rules.

2. On the Validation status rules page, click the + New button.

3. In the Validation status by outcome class window, enter:

   • Validation type.

   • Validate.

   • Outcome class.

4. Click Insert.

Create warnings configurations

To configure warnings that alert users when rules are broken:

1. In the left panel, click Warnings Configuration.

2. On the Warnings configuration page, click the + New warning button.

3. In the Check window, enter:

   • Outcome class: The outcome that triggers the warning.

   • Warning: The warning that appears to the user.

   • Blocking: If the warning also blocks further action.

   • Validity interval: How many hours the warning lasts.

4. Click Insert.
