Create an hypothesis

This topic explains how to create a simulation scenario.

Before you start

• Create a Simulation

Create an Hypothesis

1. Click the “New Hypothesis” button. A configuration panel opens.

2. Fill out the form with the following information:

   • Name

   • Description

3. Click Save. The hypothesis is created with status “Working”.

4. Select the hypothesis and choose the Layer to edit, then click Start Editing.

5. Use the editing tools to make the required changes. All edits are restricted to the Simulation AOI.

6. When finished, confirm and save your changes. The hypothesis is stored with all edits applied.

Hypothesis Lifecycle

Each hypothesis follows a defined lifecycle:

• Working:The hypothesis is newly created and fully editable.

• Approved: The hypothesis has been approved and its data is merged into the default version of the service.

• Rejected: The hypothesis has been discarded and is no longer applicable.
