Dynamic forms
Dynamic forms are smarter and easier to use in the field. To ensure fast and accurate data capture, dynamic forms automatically adapt to the specific context. They guide you through the correct procedures, streamline field operations, and improve data quality.
Launch GPS navigation from dynamic forms
Launch turn-by-turn navigation directly from GPS nodes within dynamic forms. With a single tap, your default map application opens to provide directions to the job site.
This feature streamlines travel workflows and ensures you can access basic navigation features, even when the device operates offline.
See Direct GPS navigation from dynamic forms .
Enhanced dynamic forms and field data capture
Collect and organize data related to daily activities in highly configurable templates. Create new forms directly in the field, use computed nodes for automatic calculations, and generate PDF reports immediately from the mobile device.
To eliminate tedious data capture, dynamic forms automatically adapt to specific contexts, such as safety checklists or inspection guides. This ensures fast, accurate data entry and strict compliance enforcement.
See Dynamic Forms | Generate a pdf from the form .
Lock and unlock request workflow
To ensure data integrity, you can lock dynamic forms associated with work orders (WOs) upon completion. After the sheet is locked, it becomes read-only and ensures finalized data remains unchanged.
Note: If updates are required, request an unlock, which an administrator must approve.
Use one card one form
In the FSM Mobile app, open a card to configure dynamic forms flexibly and intuitively. The configuration is simple and provides a clear, consistent experience.
See Configure dynamic form rules for FSM Mobile | Configure mobile cards .
Trigger limits and threshold warnings
Receive warnings when you enter values slightly outside normal limits. To allow a balance between strict data integrity and field flexibility, dynamic forms support non-mandatory boundaries. Administrators can set:
-
Threshold limits: Trigger warning notifications without blocking the workflow.
-
Strict limits: Prevent saving
Limits allow you to submit values that fall outside ideal ranges and get a warning if they are within safe operational limits or block them if it’s unsafe.
See Non-mandatory boundaries for dynamic forms .
Automatically validate
Date fields are validated automatically to ensure accuracy.
Receive warning and error messages
Get immediate feedback through global error and warning messages when issues are detected. In a saved form, global expressions trigger specific warning or error messages. To adhere to compliance rules, this feature provides clear feedback and blocks invalid saves when necessary.
See Create and manage global expressions in dynamic forms .
Use the compact view layout
Scroll less and access more fields on your screen with the compact view layout for mobile dynamic forms. Reduced vertical spacing allows you to view and complete multiple fields at the same time. Improve your data entry efficiency, particularly for complex forms with high field density.
See Configure compact view for dynamic forms .
Note: An administrator must enable the compact view layout.
Enhanced dynamic forms and field data capture
Audience: Technicians
Collect and organize data related to daily activities in highly configurable templates. Create new forms directly in the field, use computed nodes for automatic calculations, and generate PDF reports immediately from the mobile device.
To eliminate tedious data capture, dynamic forms automatically adapt to specific contexts, such as safety checklists or inspection guides. This ensures fast, accurate data entry and strict compliance enforcement.

Authenticate IdP on Windows update
To manage authentication and token exchange, the FSM Mobile app now utilizes an updated Windows OAuth 2.0 mechanism. This update ensures improved security and long-term compatibility with Windows authentication frameworks.
There are no visible changes to how you authenticate in the Windows application. The login process and experience remain the same, so you don’t make any configuration or setup changes. Just sign in with your Identity Provider (IdP) credentials.
Note: NextGen FSM will notify you if your IdP settings change and require additional data or parameters.
Self-assign a bundle from mobile
To track and complete tasks more efficiently, manage a group of related WOs (a bundle) as a single unit. Use an enhanced map view with numbered pins for task sequencing and assume responsibility for an entire bundle at one time.
Finalize bundles efficiently with Apply to All and choose between manual or weighted time allocation to automatically distribute start and end times across operations.
See Job Bundler - Mobile.
Search and download assets on map view
Search for and view all available assets directly on the map view via an online search.
Note: To support offline operations, tap any asset icon on the map to download its full technical details and history from the server to your device.
